Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has ruled out a military involvement in the Iran conflict, stating that Australia is not central to the issues. The Australian government is in discussions with airlines to help stranded Australians in the Middle East, but acknowledges that evacuation plans will be difficult due to closed airspace across the region. The most viable route to return Australian citizens home is when commercial airlines resume service.
