High temperatures broken Sunday, as Bay Area heat wave ramps up

The Bay Area experienced record highs in the week, with temperatures reaching 15-25 degrees above average across the region. Most of the Bay Area is under a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with temperatures expected to rise. The National Weather Service has warned that due to the long duration of the heatwave, it could increase susceptibility to heat-related illnesses.
