Andrew Garfield, a two-time Oscar nominee, has defended the Harry Potter films, stating that they should not be influenced by author J.K. Rowling's anti-transgender views. He praised the films, which released between 2001 and 2011, and the cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. The interview was aired a day before HBO released its first trailer for the upcoming series, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone."
