'John Wick' Caine Spinoff From Donnie Yen Starts Filming

Lionsgate's untitled Caine project, directed by Donnie Yen and starring Rina Sawayama, is set to begin filming next month. The project will follow Caine's story in the events post 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4. Mattson Tomlin and Michael McGrale are writing the screenplay. John Wick producers, Thunder Road, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski, will also return. Yen, known for his roles in action movies such as Ip Man, Flash Point, and Hero, is expected to return to direct and star in the upcoming Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II and adaptation of the Keanu Reeves-created comic book BRZRKR.
