S&P Global Platts has announced it is considering alternative routes for Middle East freight assessments due to ongoing conflict with Iran. The conflict has halted energy exports from the Middle East and severely impacted the shipping industry. Platts will use all available fixtures and market information for assessment. It also suspended bids and offers for refined products on a free-on-board Arab Gulf or Fujairah basis.
