North Georgia sergeant dies after medical emergency while on duty

Sgt. John Johnson, a longtime deputy of the Haralson County, Georgia sheriff's office, has died after suffering a medical emergency while on duty. Johnson had served with the sheriff’s office for 18 years and was assigned to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as a Drug Task Force Agent for the past decade. The sheriff described him as a valued employee and a friend to many within the department.
