Eaglets at White Rock Lake Learning to Fly

The Dallas Park and Recreation Department is monitoring the bald eagle family at White Rock Lake as they learn to fly. The department has placed signs near the nest and will install water-filled barricades near the nesting area. This will temporarily affect vehicle access along East Lawther Dr. However, the area will remain open for walking and biking. This is a sensitive time for the young birds as they may fall from trees or become distressed.
