After three decades as the voice of the Mets, Howie Rose is retiring at the end of the season. Rose shared his experiences with The Post, including receiving support from former players like David Wright and Marv Albert. He also shared his gratitude for the positive feedback received during his career. Rose met with Marv at 13 years old and became the president of his fan club president at age 16. He credits his mentor, Marv, for his guidance and support. Rose also mentioned that he has seen too many people on his side of the baseball industry, beyond their professional knowledge.
