Awardised couple, who have been dubbed "animal enthusiasts", have transformed an empty field into an environment that they believe will continue to grow. They plan to open Holmes Chapel Zoo in 2025 with enclosures full of animals including wallabies, meerkats, tortoises, and reptiles. However, the application for planning permission was initially rejected due to its potential impact on the countryside.
