Woman Tries to Attend Virtual Court Hearing While Driving, Immediately Gets Caught by Judge Who Apparently Knows Which Side Steering Wheels Are On

A Michigan woman, Kimberly Carroll, tried to attend a virtual court appearance while driving during a car ride, but was caught by Judge Michael K. McNally of the 33rd District Court who noticed something was off. Carroll claimed she was not driving and was only a passenger dealing with a family emergency. The judge found out that the seatbelt appeared to be coming from the driver's side, and asked Carroll to show him the driver. McNaly concluded the hearing and issued a default judgment against Carroll, amounting to $1,921.85. This decision cost Carroll an extra $133 and her credibility.
