Susan Ralston, owner of Jim's Burger Haven in Thornton and Arvada, Colorado, experienced a surprise when the bun supplier, Aspen Baking Company, didn't show up for their regular delivery on March 7. The company, which was founded in 1994 by Jeff Nations, had been custom-made for Jim's by Aspen baking Company for the last 15 years. Aspen ceased all direct store delivery operations effective on March 6th. Ralstons is now searching for a replacement bun and has removed all items on a six-inch bun from DoorDash. The temporary solution involves offering the burgers on Pullman bread, which Jim's uses for its grilled cheese.
