Awards ceremony honors entrepreneurs, businesses as Small Business Week kicks off in the Pikes Peak region

The 2026 Small Business Awards ceremony, held at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, marked the official start to Small Business Week in the Pikes Peak region. Eighteen entrepreneurs and businesses across the region were recognized and winners of the awards. The ceremony included winners in six categories including Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Family-Owned Small Business. Small Business Champion was Beth Taylor, executive director of Colorado APEX Accelerator, who has over 15 years' experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. The event also included micro-businesses named Financial Talent Group and Valor Archery Challenge.
