No. 2 Sleepy Eye St. Mary's (31-1) defeated No. 6 Central Minnesota Christian (27-4) 53-47 in the Class A Girls Basketball State Tournament. The Knights ended the game on a 23-10 run to advance, with junior guard Morgan Mathiowetz scoring a game-high 32 points. This victory marks the first time the teams had faced each other in the regular season. No. 1 Mountain Iron-Buhl is set to play against No. 3 Kelliher/Northome in the final.
