Titans receiver Carnell Tate, known for his Lego habit, chose 14 over 17 and stated he would "give up the bank" to get his preferred number. Tate stated that he didn't want to "bother" Dike with it and instead chose 14, which he believes is the best number available. The change of number is an adjustment for a player who has become identified with a given number as part of his identity. If successful, Tate may be known as 14 by fans and the Titans, similar to other great NFL receivers.
