Glenn's Clyde river could once again be filled with floating buses, thanks to plans floated by local councillors. The Renfrew Ferry, which shuttered last year, was set to reopen after a new Renfra Bridge opened in 2025. The project, called the Custom House Quay & Carlton Place project, aims to make the Clyde's banks more accessible and pedestrian-friendly as part of a project to make it more accessible between Glasgow Bridge and Victoria Bridge. Plans also include creating new public spaces for exercise, pop-up activities and pavilions, and increasing lighting to make travelling along the water’s edge safer.
