President Donald Trump is embarking on a revenge tour in the South, following his victory in Indiana where six out of seven state senators who had opposed his redistricting push have been knocked off. The president's allies are planning to target Republicans who have crossed him in Louisiana, Kentucky, and Georgia, while focusing on redistricting efforts in Tennessee and South Carolina to gain more Republican seats in a bid to retain control of the House. Among the targets are Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La), who voted to convict him on "incitement of insurrection" after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, and Rep. Thomas Massie, who has opposed the president’s Big Beautiful Bill, who endorsed former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein. The move could potentially cost Democrats a seat and potentially harm Rep. James C. Clyburn (D-S.C.), the only black member of the South Carolina House delegation.
