Supreme Court gets into epic grammar battle while determining if Trump can rebuff asylum seekers at the border

The Supreme Court is deciding whether the Trump administration can indefinitely turn away asylum seekers at the US-Mexico border, a policy known as "metering." This policy allows the Border Patrol to stop asylum seekers from processing their claims at the border and not adjudicating their claims. However, a lower court has blocked the policy, which the president argues is a crucial measure if the border is under strain again. The two sides are at odds over what "arrive in" actually means, with the administration arguing that an individual does not “arrive” in the US if blocked in Mexico. Most of the Republican-appointed justices, and at times, Democrat-appointed Justice Elena Kagan, supported the administration's interpretation.
