This comes after the nomination of Erica Schwartz as the next director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a respected physician and former public health official who has championed the use of vaccines. Despite this, Kennedy refused to commit to supporting evidence-based vaccine policy and said he wouldn't interfere with the agency's recommendations.
