Utah frustrates BYU with late-game breaks in rivalry matchup

The University of Utah defeated BYU 3-2 in a rivalry softball game, marking the 13th anniversary of the opening of the Dumke Family Softball Stadium on its campus overlooking the Salt Lake valley. The game ended when Utah outfielder Danika Wilson's soft single scored Kennedy Proctor with nobody out in the seventh inning. The victory marks Utah's 31-17-1 overall and 7-11-1 in league play. This was the first of three games the two teams will play consecutive days with 5 p.m.
