Lindsey Graham, Disney World and the curse of spring break in a shutdown

The media has targeted members of Congress who are vacationing during the nearly seven-week-long Department of Homeland Security shutdown, following a weeklong break from Capitol Hill. The focus has been on TMZ for shaming lawmakers who have been seen visiting Disney World and a Las Vegas casino. Despite President Donald Trump's intervention to reroute funds to pay airport security workers, thousands of DHS employees are still receiving checks. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close ally of the President, was seen carrying around a bubble wand at Disney World. Rep. Robert Garcia, D-California, was also seen visiting his father in Las Vegas. Despite this, the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, urged lawmakers to return to Washington.
