Reilly and Jones ahead in Will County sheriff primary; incumbent lead County Board races

In the Will County sheriff's primary, Deputy James "Jim" Reilly and Sgt. Patrick Jones were leading in the Republican and Democratic primaries, respectively. The county treasurer's race saw Carmen Maurella leading with 64.4% and Raj "Pi" Pillai, of Plainfield, with 35.6% of the votes. Meanwhile, incumbent members on the Will county Board were leading their respective races, including Republicans Steve Balich, Judy Ogalla, and Jacqueline Traynere, who all recently had leadership positions. The makeup of the evenly split Will County Board will be decided in November's election. The County Board now has 11 Republicans and 11 Democrats.
