The threat of severe weather has been issued for Oklahoma as storms could bring hail to the state on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the biggest threat being for hail the size of ping pong balls. The highest chance of severe storms will develop during the overnight hours in northern Oklahoma, with scattered showers expected across the state throughout the day. A level one marginal risk was issued for part of Oklahoma and the risk zone stretches into the northwest part of the OKC metro. However, a level 2 slight threat has been put in place for areas near Ardmore, Atlester, Atoka, Broken Bow and Arkansas. Another severe weather risk is also expected to move into Oklahoma on Thursday. Meteorologist Jonathan Conder is not worried about a tornado risk due to the storms will be behind a cold front.
