Apple has introduced the M5 MacBook Air, M5 Pro and M5 Max variants of the MacBook Pro, and is set to launch a “cheap” notebook called the MacBook Neo. The new notebook will appeal to younger Apple fans and high school students, who will also be able to pay less for storage. The MacBook Neo is likely to share its 256GB storage, 8GB memory, and overall performance with its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro, which offers 8GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature a backlit keyboard, P3 color gamut, and True Tone technology. However, it is expected to miss out on features such as a back-lit keyboard and display features as its M1 counterpart. Rumors suggest that the notebook will cost as little as $599, while others suggest it will be more affordable at the $699-799 range.
