President Trump has stated that Israel will not attack Iran's main natural gas facility, South Pars, again. This statement comes after the Israeli Air Force struck a natural gas processing facility in southwestern Iran, marking a significant escalation in the war. This was the first time Israel has targeted Iran's natural gas facilities, which are vital to Iran's economy. The strike was approved by the White House and followed two missile strikes on Qatar's Ras Laffan Industrial City, which were followed by extensive damage. After the first Iranian missile strike, Qatari officials contacted White House envoy Steve Witkoff, CENTCOM commanders, and other senior Trump administration officials, demanding to know if the U.S. had prior knowledge of the Israeli strike. Despite these claims, U. and Israeli officials refuted these claims.
