Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Israel, which the Israeli government said they intercepted without casualties. This comes after the militant group threatened to join the conflict if three red lines were crossed, including the allyship of Middle Eastern countries with the U.S., the U., the US, or Israel’s use of the Red Sea for military operations and continued attacks on the Islamic Republic. Despite President Donald Trump extending a pause on strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure, Iran responded by retaliating. The continued military operations in the Middle East have negatively impacted the global economy, with the price of standard gas increasing by nearly $4 per hour.
