The San Francisco Giants have placed right-handed José Buttó on the 15-day injured list due to right arm fatigue. Buttó, who helped Team Venezuela win its first World Baseball Classic title alongside second baseman Luis Arraez, had a low velocity and barely touched 90 mph in a relief appearance against the San Diego Padres. Right-hander Blade Tidwell, who played under Tony Vitello at Tennessee, was called up in a corresponding move. The Giants manager stated that Buttó's injury is just a strain and he will undergo medical tests. Two-time All-Star Logan Webb and Team USA player Buttó have yet to appear in a game for the Giants.
