Whitney Davis, the daughter of Alison and Matt Davis, has committed to Penn State to play college softball. Davis, who has a year and a half of high school left, is currently setting new records for the Berkshire softball program. She has played a variety of positions at Berkshire, including pitching as a freshman, infield and even catcher. Davis plans to major in broadcast journalism and Spanish at Penn State and has been told she will be primarily an outfield and utility player for the Nittany Lions. Her career records include batting at a.680 clip (130-for-191) with 104 runs scored, 53 RBI and 111 stolen bases.
