Mail Thief, ID Thief At It Again In Guilford: Feds

Marris Williams, a man previously convicted of mail theft, ID theft, and bank fraud, was arrested in September after being found driving drunk with 132 pieces of stolen mail in his car. The pair used the stolen mail to steal identities, produce fake identification, forge checks, and transfer cash or deposit checks from mailboxes. Williams was sentenced to over six years in prison and five years of supervised release. He also had a previous federal conviction in 2002 for conspiracy, identity fraud, and credit card fraud.
