Sidney Crosby, the Penguins captain, has returned to the team after missing 11 games due to a lower body injury sustained during the Olympics. The injury occurred during a game against Czechia and forced him to miss the gold-medal game. Coach Dan Muse announced that Crosby will play against the Carolina Hurricanes. Despite the absence, the team has managed to maintain their second place standing in the Metropolitan Division.
