Krasuski elected Mountain View mayor; Fairview school bond passes in Howell County election

In the November election, John Krasuski was elected as mayor of Mountain View, with 54 percent of the vote. In other areas, voters approved a $5 million bond issue for facility improvements in Fairview R-XI and a proposal to allow the Board of Aldermen to appoint a chief of police to replace the elected city marshal. The vote also included a measure replacing the existing one-and-a-half-cent capital improvement sales tax with a tax dedicated to road and bridge work.
