Jon M. Chu Didn't Think He "Deserved To Be In Hollywood"

Director Jon M. Chu, nearly 20 years into his career, has confessed to having the feeling of imposter syndrome throughout his career. He admitted that he didn't think he deserved to be in Hollywood and had to learn how to use his story differently. Following his work on Wicked (2024), Wicked: For Good (2025), and an adaptation of Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You’ll Go! with co-director Jill Culton, Chu is set to direct multiple upcoming titles, including the Hot Wheels movie for Mattel, Warner Bros and Bad Robot.
