Griffin had previously been banned from The View after publishing behind-the-scenes stories about the show in her stand-up comedy. In the video, Griffin stated that she loved the show and had to put up with Hasseleb's "stupid stupidity" when she was introduced. She also mentioned that she had planned to go for McCain over her past work with Donald Trump at the White House. Despite these controversies, Griffin praised current cohosters Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and Ana Navarro.
