South Florida chef, Altovis Peoples, claimed she was owed over $1,000 for her work by her former boss, but he refused to pay. She contacted Help Me Howard with assistance and within days, she had her full paycheck returned. The issue was resolved when she was unable to make her car payment and it was repossessed. Most counties have wage theft laws to help individuals recover the money, and both Broward and Miami-Dade Counties have programs to help.
