Man fined over fly-tipping incident

Craig Atter, a 60-year-old man from Halifax, was sentenced to over £1,200 in relation to fly-tipping on St Dunstan's Way in Bradford in June last year. The chair of the bench at Bradford Magistrate's Court described fly tipping as a "despicable" offence that caused "a blight on the communities of West Yorkshire". Atter had pleaded guilty to the offence on his first appearance and was ordered to pay £857 costs to Bradford Council, a £120 court surcharge and also fined £300.
