The free-to-play game, Highguard, has been discontinued by its developers, Wildlight Entertainment, following a disappointing performance since its release in January. The game was created by a team of game industry veterans, with just under 100,000 players on PC and about 380,000 viewers on streaming site Twitch. The company announced that it had not been able to sustain a sustainable player base and asked fans to participate in the remaining matches.
