G Grammy-winning singer Brandy has written a memoir, "Phases," which details her rise to fame as a child star and her relationship with Boyz II Men's Wanya Morris, who she claims started when she was 16 and 22. The book was written with journalist Gerrick Kennedy and details Brandy's rise to stardom and subsequent experiences in the music industry. It also reveals details about their chart-topping duet, her last conversation with Whitney Houston and her last call with Houston. Brandy claims that her relationship to Morris started when Brandy was 15 and that Morris began to call and check in on her regularly, offering advice as an "anchor" and "confidant" to the up-and-coming star. She also reveals that Morris became critical of her and controlled her access to him, leading to a split after she confronted him about sleeping around with different women. The memoir follows months after the sold-out The Boy is Mine coheadlining tour with Monica and unveiling of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
