Simone Biles, a former Olympic gymnast, has expressed uncertainty about her future at the LA28 Olympics, stating that it is unclear whether she will compete or spectators. Speaking at the Laureus Awards, Biles said that she feels like it is a 50-50 decision as the Olympics are two years away. She also mentioned that mental health will play a significant role in her decision-making. Biles had previously stated that she plans to be at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and 2022, but noted that her body is still recovering from her injury and mental health issues. So far, the only member of the 2024 U.S. Olympic women’s champion team to return to elite competition is Hezly Rivera.
