Veteran police lieutenant, Lt. Terrance Coleman, has been diagnosed with ALS, leaving him in a wheelchair after months of service. The diagnosis was not only hard news for Coleman but also for his fellow officers in the Moore Police Department. Funding efforts have been started to buy a wheelchair-accessible van for Coleman, who has been with the department for over two decades. Despite his disability, Coleman is also a high school football referee and regularly referees high school games. The fundraising drive aims to help him reach his retirement date next summer, which requires donations from other officers once that runs out.
