Warming temp trend, fire weather concerns return

After a chilly start to the day, temperatures turned milder this afternoon, with temperatures reaching into the 50s and 60s. Fire Weather Warnings are in place for areas of northern Kansas and southwest Nebraska, and additional Fire Weather Alerts are in effect for parts of southwest Kansas for Sunday. Temperatures will remain cool overnight, with lows expected to drop into the 20s and 30s under clear skies. High temperatures are expected to gradually rise through the first half of the week, with highs expected to reach the 80s by Wednesday. The next wave of energy is expected to arrive Thursday into Friday with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms.
