Sony Music Publishing completed a 2025 four-quarter sweep, becoming the No. 1-ranked publisher in both Radio Airplay and on the Hot 100 in the final quarter. The company dominated the rankings in Q4, winning with a 30.3% showing, nearly eight percentage points better than No. 2-ranked Warner Chappell Music. However, on Hot 100, Sony barely beat out Kobalt, who dominated the chart with 21.43%. Sony is also the publisher for the fourth quarter’s top radio Airplay songwriter, Shane “sombr” Boose. Kobalt achieved a ranking of No. 4 on the Radio Air play chart with a 11.59% tally (40 song placements), while Universal Music Publishing Group scored No. 3 ranking on the Airplay chart.
