Trevor Bauer, a former Cincinnati Reds pitcher, has signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. This marks his return to U.S. baseball after serving a 194-game suspension related to sexual assault allegations. The Ducks' opening-night starter will be on April 21 at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip. Despite the allegations, Bauer maintains his innocence and has been reinstated to MLB by an independent arbitrator in December 2022. He has since pitched professionally in Japan and Mexico.
