Wholesale inflation increased by six percent in April, the largest increase since 2022, according to local businesses like Dickman's. The business is paying more for fuel, which has impacted distribution and transportation prices. However, it is uncertain if there will be significant increases in meat prices from distributors. The general manager of Dickman’s, Tim L’Armee, said gas prices need to decrease. He also mentioned potential issues with the meat industry due to factors such as drought or wildfires affecting the industry this time of year.
