Riz Ahmed, an Oscar-winning actor, writer, and producer, has revealed that his journey to create the Prime Video series Bait involved teaching Patrick Stewart dirty Slang. The show follows the creation of Shah Latif, a struggling actor who auditiones for James Bond based on Ahmed's own experiences. The idea for Bait was inspired by Ahmed's realization that the distance between your public and private self is the amount of shame you carry. Ahmed's co-star, Guz Kahn, played Shah's cousin Zulfi and the show's finale left viewers guessing. Despite not yet being picked up for Season 2, Ahmed credits his mentors and family for their guidance in showrunning.
