The Maryland Governor's Office is hiring a Partnerships Director, a full-time position that will cost $97,972 to $120,642 a year. The role will lead the Governor's creator and digital media engagement strategy, including managing relationships with local and national creators, planning and executing creator-focused events within the state, and coordinating digital-first media opportunities. However, some state Republicans have questioned the need for this position, arguing it is intended to boost the governor's image on social media. Delegate Matt Morgan called it "ridiculous" and a waste of resources.
