The Broadway Bound Award Showcase is set for Monday night at the Robinson Center in Central Arkansas, where students from 16 schools will perform. The winners will have a chance to go to New York City. The event is connected to the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, which began in 2009 and have impacted 180,000 students and awarded over $9 million in scholarships. Students are selected through a process that involves submitting their productions from a list of qualifying musicals and reviewing them for approval. Celebrity Attractions, which already runs a similar program in Tulsa, has partnered with Stage 13 to provide training and exposure to students.
