Attempted cyber attack affects San Diego community college systems

The San Diego Community College District has experienced system outages following an attempted cyber attack. The district, which includes San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges, took down its internet, email, websites, and student registration systems as a precaution. No data was compromised. The disruptions are expected to continue through the week.
