The Cleveland National Air Show is threatening to leave Cleveland if Burke Lakefront Airport closes, citing that it would cease to exist if the airport does. The event organizers have enlisted fans to lobby politicians, including U.S. Senators Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted, and Councilman Charles Slife, to save the event. However, Mayor Justin Bibb's team claims that the Air Show won't even come to the table to discuss the issue. Despite this, Mayor Bibb has expressed his desire to see the airport closed within his second term and has asked federal lawmakers for help in doing so.
