The Hungarian film community has celebrated Péter Magyar's landslide victory in the country's election, with senior figures within the film community expressing their delight at the progress made in the arts and media reforms within the media and entertainment sector. Hungarian filmmaker László Nemes, who won an Oscar with "Son of Saul," praised the election as a "game-changer" for freeing all those who had been marginalised or silenced by the corrupt regime. Adam Goodman, managing partner of Hungarian production company Mid Atlantic Films, said that the future of the Hungarian incentive program had been uncertain under Viktor Orbán's government. The new government faces a task to address issues such as security of the incentive and registration procedures.
