Co-founder of legendary rock band dies at age 79

Dave Mason, a legendary rock guitarist and co-founder of the 1960s band Traffic, has died at the age of 79. No cause of death has been disclosed, but Mason cancelled a tour in 2025 due to health issues. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. During his career, Mason performed or recorded with Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, and Joe Cocker.
