Popular Highland Tasting Room Closing, Distillery Will Live On

The Family Jones distillery, founded in 2017 by distiller Rob Masters and CEO Paul Tamburello, plans to close its Spirit House on May 1. The Spirit House, which debuted in 1999, was a unique take on the traditional distillery tasting room with a full food menu and a copper still. Over the years, the space has undergone some changes, including paring back its food offerings and undergoing a 2024 refresh of its interior. With the Spirit House closing, Masters and Tampurello are focusing on the distillery business. They also plan to continue producing their standout spirits, which will be available online and at over 300 on-premise and 250 retail partners in Colorado.
